It was a local commit on the guy's own machine.  He was committing into
his FreeBSD repository, and the FreeBSD-specific scripts in his
$CVSROOT/CVSROOT caused the mail to be blurted out to our mailing
lists <*sigh*>.  It's been happening a lot lately.
