I picked up a jamcam (3.0) for $50 at frys on vacation. The pictures are fair at best, but it's really just to send emails to grandparents of kids anyway. (Turns out that for $60 after rebate you can get intel's with several times the capacity . . .) Anyway, when I connect it, dmesg shows: ugen0: KBGear Interactive JamCam , rev 1.10/1.00, addr 2 Does anyone have any idea how to talk to it without using windows (oh, and the windows software for it is lousy, too.) While the resolution and photo capacity are the same as the original apple digital camera from nearly 10 years ago, the quality isn't even close. At least xv makes the pictures look better than they do under windows . . . hawk -- Prof. Richard E.
