Daniel,

you're right i didn't look hard enough.  i did look some more, searching
"psmintr: out of sync" doesn't yield results, but "psmintr" does.

and i tried changing the line in my kernel to read:

device             psm0    at atkbdc? irq 12 flags 0x100

with a recompile of the kernel and a restart, but no success.

oh and one more thing:  i usually do send plain-text email.  i had forgotten
to switch back after needing to send an HTML mail to a friend, but i
appreciate the reminder.
