Hmm, that is a bit of a problem.

You should not need assembly unless you are really unlucky.

I'm guessing, but I think Freebsd/axp started off by building things 
under NetBSD/axp and not using OSF-1 ehh, D-Unix, eeh True64 Unix (or
whatever it is called these days).
