Sorry for the late answer, haven't been home to read these 900+
messages.

3D card support is not a function of FreeBSD, but rather the X windows
system. XFree86 version 4.0 is giving more support for those cards now,
but not sure exactly what. Go to http://www.xfree86.org

FYI, when I put in my Voodoo 3000 XFree86 4.0 recognized it and
installed drivers. I believe it includes MESA support, but don't know
about GLIDE.
