There is a nagios security bug in ping/traceroute utility which is defined here: http://portaudit.freebsd.org/3ebd4cb5-657f-11de-883a-00e0815b8da8.html.

The bug is around for a while (a few weeks atleast), and there is a update in nagios cvs tree, but there haven't been a new version with this patch included yet, so it might be good to atleast add a patch to nagios port which would fix it.
