I also had ICRC errors, cables and settings were all ok.

What fixed it for me:

Disable UDMA temporary.
Run GENERIC kernel.
cvsup to -STABLE.
Rebuild everything.
Enable UDMA.

But it doens't work for everyone.

I run ABit KT7A, IBM 40GXP HD, Athlon 1.2Ghz 266
