I swear I remember reading something on the FreeBSD site saying that you shouldn't just upgrade from 4.x to 5.0, because it's still kind of in the beta stage and some apps might not work properly. Especially on a production server. The suggested way to upgrade to 5.0, was to backup everything on the current machine and install 5.0 from scatch then load from backups.
