After setting "NoTrapSignals" in the config, the stacktrace pointed somewhere at config_fini()/RemoveGeneralSocket() These functions don't look like creating segviolations, but they are mainly concerned with that HAL/DBUS stuff. So I compiled xorg-server with "WITHOUT_HAL=true" and the coredumps went away. rgds, PMc
