Hi Jordan!

The MAINTAINER setting in the apache13-php3 port is a little bit
problematic. The current MAINTAINER Stefan Herrmann
<stefan@asterix.webaffairs.net> did the initial work for the port.
I finished his work, i. e. made it actually work/compile. The following
version updates were also done by me.

Currently I am working on an version with a dialog based configuration
similar to ghostscript5. This version will also contain upgrades to
apache 1.3.1 and php 3.0.3.

The idea behind it is to create a "super" apache port which incorporates
all the others (normal, ssl, ...). Of course this has to be discussed
with the other maintainers first.

I had a conversation with Andreas Klemm whether it is possible to join
the FreeBSD project as a committer to work especially in the ports area.
I would like to start maintaining the apache13-php3 and mysql port actively
(the mysql port hasn't been maintained for over a half year by now and
is even set to broken for the moment 8(, btw. PR ports/7347 refers to
a working version).

Furthermore I have a few other ports in my local tree which are
interesting for ISPs especially, e. g. a RADIUS-aware qpopper. It can
be used to authenticate users via RADIUS and serve multiple domains
with just one server.

Some other ideas regarding the ports system itself are running around
my mind, e. g. a CONFLICTS system inspired by NetBSD.

I really would appreciate to get a chance to realize all this mentioned
stuff. 8-)

	Best regards Dirk
