If you haven't done a make world, do: cd /usr/src/lib/libsmutil make depend make obj make cd /usr/src/lib/libsm make depend make obj make Then you can build sendmail. Otherwise it won't let you. It took me ages to find this out since I'm a novice with FreeBSD. This might help other people. Thanks, Roger
