http://www.clark.net/pub/dickey/ncurses/ncurses.tar.gz should
link to ncurses.  It should also include fairly complete html
documentation.

The ncurses package is sort-of in limbo right now as they try to
sort out who the official maintainer is, so the release that the
above link points to might be withdrawn eventually, and the
release that the above link points to is not the one included
with FreeBSD, but it should have the most up-to-date and
comprehensive documentation.  :)  It explains colour-pairs quite
well.  :)
