When you installed, did you remember to set the FreeBSD partition as bootable? This sounds like the culprit to me. --- Andy P.S. Intsllation goes fine without errors, then when I try to boot up the computer, it says "Read Error", and freezes there. The computer is a P100 Hewlett Packard Vectra, Series 4, and the hard drive is a Quantum FireBall series 3.5. Any information you can give me on the cause of this problem and/or a solution would be more than great. thanks, -james To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
