Don't upgrade the pool for now, you have problems to solve first. Then, you'll be able to upgrade the pool, and don't forget to also update the zfs boot code before rebooting (see UPDATING). Don't forget you won't be able to import your (upgraded) v28 pool with a 8.2-RELEASE if you have problems with 8-STABLE !
