It's supported in 3.0 and later.

All SCSI:SCSI RAID controllers are supported.  AMI supposedly have had 
FreeBSD drivers for ~6 months, but aren't talking to us about it.

Go for a SCSI:SCSI RAID solution; they have all the advantages.  70GB 
is a bit small, but try talking to eg. Metastor (LSI Logic) about their 
S-class server-attached storage solutions.
