hi guys, spent 3 hours with google trying to find a solution
for this... help?

problem: Mounting root from ufs:/dev/idad0s1a hangs machine with smp enabled
machine: proliant 6000
procs: (4) matched stepping ppro 200's
ram: 512 megs
drives: 4 4.3 gig scsi's on a smart 2/p raid controller.

the machine runs fine under generic.

kernel changes:
options MAXMEM=524288
options SMP # Symmetric MultiProcessor Kernel
options APIC_IO # Symmetric (APIC) I/O

rebooted and got to Mounting root from ufs:/dev/idad0s1a
and the machine hung.

tried this multiple times.
anyone have any suggestions for me?
thanks,
-dd
