I admit, it's no rocket-science what's done here but it are the small things which make life worth living. This is one of them. It will a. give people with no experience regarding X and shell-scripting the capability to perform such a function and b. give somebody who is interested in finding out how it can be done from a C program a pointer to the right direction.
