The default is NO in which case it (the boot menu) is enabled.

It's a boolean value for the truth of the statement "The Beastie boot
menu is disabled"

If YES then it is disabled. If NO then it is enabled. The default is
NO (enabled).

In other words, if we've done the above command, then ...
