Well, I think those are fine emulators.
Try playing a game after building one:

They are no more suitable for playing
games than anything else, unless you
find some game cartridge images ... :)

The game cartridges might go into the
games directory (with the emulator being
a prerequisite for installing them), but
the Z80 emulator with the hardware support
for some particular game console has its
place in the emulators directory (IMHO).

(No, and I'm not suggesting to have those
cartridge images available from lots of 
servers become available via ports. I'm 
not even sure we should tell how to obtain
those games, it is explained in the README
of each emulator. People will find the 
information in the work directory, but
not in anything that comes with FreeBSD.)
