Only advice I have is make sure youre using the latest bios if youre planning on running any type of X on it. ;)
Older bios did not allow for specifying amount of video ram in bios. (causing my husband and I to have to make a 845 patch for freebsd.) Only allowed 1mb. You could run X in 24bit if you liked looking at a 600x400 box in the middle of the screen.
Hope that helps. :)

Michelle
