``ASAP'' is normally nothing you could make friends with in a
volunteer project. This software is free, and we make no provisions
of any kind for usability. If you're in a commercial world, and can't
do something yourself, you need to hire someone. There's a list of
consultants available on http://www.freebsd.org (in the gallery, i
think).

This said, you didn't even include what kind of CD-ROM this might be,
nor which version of FreeBSD you're going to install. Neither did you
tell us what exactly _has_ been recognized (controller, other drives
on controller, etc., basically all the relevated stuff from the boot
messages).

I assume it's an ATAPI drive? In this case, the probably only chance
to get it recognized is to send it over to the responsible developer
for testing. If you don't understand why this is, i can only
recommend you the reading of the so-called ATA ``standard'' specs.
(After you read them, you'll wonder why these drives sometimes do work
at all. Buying an ATAPI drive, and claiming about a `deadline' is
mutually contradictory, IMHO.)

So well, if you've got some more useful information, you might get
some more useful answers.
