I may not be Murray, but I can tell you that the Nvidia drivers are
working just fine with XFree86 4.3.0 and FreeBSD 4.8-RC cvsup'd today.

Just remember to reinstall the nvidia stuff after you update the X
libraries, because the XFree86-Libraries package will overwrite libGL:

    portupgrade -r imake-\*
    portinstall -f x11/nvidia-driver
