I hadn't tried multiple X sessions under Xorg 6.7 (I've gone to 6.8
now).  I can't reproduce the problem.

Try going to text consoles instead of to another X session; that may
help determine if you're actually having problems with X, or if the
virtual terminals are the trouble.
