 Hi,

I've experienced similar problems with a BT 946C
 (1995).
As the 'hanging' SCSI ID displayed always referred to
the second harddisk, I thought, I have a problem with
that one. So I sucked the data as long as it worked,
and bought a new one (updated the System in between,
so that it runs currently a 3.2-STABLE). But the
problems still occur, just less often.
No worries for the additional harddisk, i would
have needed it anyway, but then I thougth about
buying a new hostadapter. Well if it could
be problem with the driver, and it seems that way,
 I would save that. :-)

 Cheers,
  Daniel
