No, I used sysinstall with the default parameters to create them.
bs=8192, fs=1024, cpg=16

The spool is on /dev/ad0s1f, history etc. is on /dev/da0s1f.
If it matters, turning softupdates off on both didn't help.

I know and I would've changed them and the ssh identity anyway :-)
