Hi, I just started to experiment with snmp on my systems, and one of the things I noticed is that bsnmpd returns strange values in the ipAddrTable. As far as I understand, this table is supposed to hold network parameters for the systems network interfaces. When requesting that table from a host running net-snmpd the values returned make sense: $ bsnmpwalk -v 2c -s reader@vulcan.lyx ipAddrTable ipAdEntAddr[127.0.0.1] = 127.0.0.1 ipAdEntAddr[192.168.203.27] = 192.168.203.27 ipAdEntIfIndex[127.0.0.1] = 2 ipAdEntIfIndex[192.168.203.27] = 1 ipAdEntNetMask[127.0.0.1] = 255.0.0.0 ipAdEntNetMask[192.168.203.27] = 255.255.255.0 ipAdEntBcastAddr[127.0.0.1] = 1 ipAdEntBcastAddr[192.168.203.27] = 1 ipAdEntReasmMaxSize[127.0.0.1] = -1 ipAdEntReasmMaxSize[192.168.203.27] = -1 However, if I try this with a host running bsnmpd, I get something strange: $ bsnmpwalk -v 2c -s reader@juno.lyx ipAddrTable ipAdEntAddr[0.0.0.0] = 0.0.0.0 ipAdEntIfIndex[0.0.0.0] = 1 ipAdEntNetMask[0.0.0.0] = 48.0.0.0 ipAdEntBcastAddr[0.0.0.0] = 0 ipAdEntReasmMaxSize[0.0.0.0] = 65535 All systems running 10.1-STABLE Is this because I'm looking in the wrong place for the Addresses? This could be, because ipAddrTable is deprecated and supposed to be replaced by ipAddressTable. However, bsnmpd appears to not know about ipAddressTable (while net-snmp does know it, but returns no data for it). Clue pointers appreciated. Wolfgang
