My problem: - suddenly (in one day) our my FreeBSD-2.2.5R (connected to 'Net) became freezing while any LOGIN operation... - first - sendmail, squid-1.21, bind (secondary), socks5 from NEC, qpopper, - second - bind (primary), ftp, tacacs 3.xx, isc-dhcp, dnews port. - on both - installed but not configured tcp_wrappers package. Last week for three-five days tacacs was too instable, then freezed (long answer). All answers for ftp, telnet (on local net) was too long. systat -netstat was not produced any output for ports/protocols. I uninstall qpopper, dnews, tacacs, tcp_wrappers but no results... And today all systems returned to normal (quick answer to login) state. What happening with my lovely FreeBSDs? Oleg.
