I'm trying to get a command-line cd player working on a 2.1.5R system with a Soundblaster and a SCSI cd-rom. The cd-rom works just fine with xcd and xcdplayer, but neither cdcontrol nor cdplay are working. narcissus: {19} cdplay cd0 CD>play cdplay: Invalid argument And, on the console: cd0(bt0:6:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:24,0 Invalid field in CDB With cdcontrol: narcissus: {23} cdcontrol Compact Disc Control Utility, Version 1.0 Type `?' for command list cd> play Ambiguous command cd> info Audio status = 21<void>, current track = 1, current position = 0:00.00 Left volume = 238, right volume = 238 Starting track = 1, ending track = 7, TOC size = 66 bytes track start duration block length type ------------------------------------------------- 1 0:02.00 9:53.54 0 44379 audio 2 9:53.54 10:57.22 44379 49147 audio 3 20:49.01 9:40.61 93526 43411 audio 4 30:27.62 13:31.25 136937 60700 audio 5 43:57.12 12:28.74 197637 56024 audio 6 56:24.11 6:30.60 253661 29160 audio 7 62:52.71 7:58.15 282821 35715 audio end 70:49.11 - 318536 - - I noticed that the audio status is listed as "21<void>", but I don't know what to do about it. I've tried it with a couple of different audio discs and none of them work. Can any of you help me out here? Much appreciated.
