Ok I found the solution of the problem. As I said the laptop hangs on -STABLE too when I add sound to the kernel config. I even tried to add PCI_ENABLE_IO_MODES and the kernel lock up at boot too. In browsing in src/ changes on -CURRENT, I noted that PCI_ENABLE_IO_MODES is a sysctl variable since beginning of August and the default value is 1. Setting at boot hw.pci.enable_io_modes=0 fixed the problem. Marc To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
