I just tried again to build devel/jsoncpp on 9.3 amd64 with the default
compiler c++ (GCC) 4.2.1, and it builds fine. Ports on the old OS versions =
are
supposed to build with the default compiler. There is no requirement to sup=
port
other compilers. Additionally, 9.X will be retired Jan 1, 2017.

I suggest to close this unless you have a compelling use case argument to
support this particular compiler version.
