Oh, it's great!  I'm looking forward to see it happen.
Tcsh does similar thing at runtime using iconv.  Our csh has some
trick to load libiconv dynamically.
BTW, gencat(1) doesn't like ja_JP.SJIS catalog.  So, I could not add
ja_JP.SJIS one.
