Ok...found the answer to part of the above --- PHP is an Apache module.
I've got Apache+php-1.3.9+3.0.12 -- I'm assuming that this means that PHP
has been configured to support mySQL 3.0.12. Is that correct? Do I still
need php3.ini?

thanks.....-duke
