<snip everything> I just created a 'tester' user and I can't reproduce the crash anymore. I am going to clear all dot files of gnome stuff such as ~/.gconf*, ~/.gnome* and goes on to solve my problem. Unless, do you want me to try do something different? Cheers, Mezz
