Mutt allows you to use emacs, vi, or vim as your composer/viewer, in addition to the no frills (even compared to vi) builtin composer. You can even configure it to color certain text to indicate headers, quotes, addresses, etc., just by tweaking a mail.vim config. You can even use urlview to open html links in the browser of your choice, and can set your mime types to tell it how to open images, view M$ Word and Excel, pdf, etc. attachments inline. And it integrates nicely with gnupg/pgp. You can even learn cool geek tricks to get it to justify your text! :) The default key bindings are similar to vi, so you have much less to learn off the bat. > WRT: (x)?emacs+vm >=20 > I use vim - best damn editor in the universe :wq! and maybe only 10% of > it. If I have to touch that d@#&! mouse more than 5 times a day, I get bothered. And I spend a LOT of time on the computer. > Holy war?
