Doug, Pedro,

4 weeks ago John and Dan made a large upgrade of the FreeBSD ptheards
code which made a big difference in performance in my pthread-ed
applications.

This was committed to 3.x-stable just 2 days ago, ready for the 3.2
release.

So, if you are on trying to build freeamp, make sure you are
running the latest sources.
