Do you run the k5admind from inetd or standalone?  Information from
the core dump of a debug version would be useful.

You should not need any keytab on your client (-stable box) to be able
to run k5init.

Yes, part of the problem is the duality between k5admind and kadmind.
There's a man-page in the source at
src/crypto/heimdal/kadmin/kadmind.8 but it's not installed since it
would have to be changed to k5admind to make sense.  My plan is to
install both the program and man-page as kadmind instead.
