No, I can't reproduce the problem. I saw your message and cvsup'ed 
src-all and had no problem doing a buildworld and then doing a 
buildkernel. The maxusers makes me wonder if you have changed your 
kernel config or have it in the wrong location. It is usually set to 32.

What did you do and what do you have for a kernel config?
