Hi I'm running KDE 2.1.1 under XFree86 4.0.3 on FreeBSD 4.3-RELEASE. Everything works fine, except for some strange behaviour regarding my console colours, something I find very useful to have. I'm using 'bash', and the colors are displayed correctly in my prompt string. But 'ls' and 'vim' don't show any colors. Clearly, the console is color-capable, but why only for certain programs, and not others? In bare console more, without X, all colors are displayed perfectly. Anyone got any thoughts?
