Hi all, After deleting a 80GB file on a IDE disk, the disk got empty about 50% then rm(1) begun to consume all cpu and the system got more and more unresponsive. I could not interrupt the rm in any way, even kill -9 did not help, it was really busy with unlink(). Later it lost the link and I had to turn it of after another 30 mins. I don't know if it's a deadlock or a race somewhere, I suspect that the OS was still alive, but really really slow. I consider this as a serious bug. Note that I run softupdates on the disk.
