-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- My secret spy satellite informs me that on 17-Mar-98, questions-digest wrote: > Hi, FreeBSD gurus, > > Sometimes I run X applications, such as ical, plan ..etc, the screen > shows > "/usr/libexec/ld.so: warning: /usr/lib/libc.so.3.0: minor version 0 > older than expected 1, using it anyway" You've installed these programs as binary packages, right? This means that the binary you are running was built with a system that has the version 3.1 version of libc (the standard C library), whereas your system has version 3.0. You are probably installing a package that was built on a -CURRENT or -STABLE machine. This shouldn't cause you any problems. Upgrading your XFree86 will not do anything about these messages. My adice: just ignore them and happily use your program. - --- Donald Burr <dburr@POBoxes.com> - Ask me for my PGP key | PGP: Your WWW HomePage: http://DonaldBurr.base.org/ ICQ #1347455 | right to Address: P.O.
