rp7 works fine for me as stand-alone.  Be sure you have all of the
linux-compatibility stuff turned on in your kernel config.  For
3.4-STABLE, this is what I have:

# for StarOffice/Linux Compat:
options		"P1003_1B"
options		"_KPOSIX_PRIORITY_SCHEDULING"
options		"_KPOSIX_VERSION=199309L"

I don't know if rp7 needs them, but it is good to have them if you do
linux programs, I think.

I haven't tried yet to run a real-video out of netscape using plugger,
but it works fine for external content that has proper links to launch
the realplayer.
