  This was hardly relevant to the freebsd-hackers list.  FreeBSD doesn't
run on most of those platforms.  Plus, the benchmarks were run on FreeBSD
2.1, but which 2.1?  2.1.0, 2.1.5, 2.1.6, 2.1.7?

  Besides 2.2 is known to benchmark (with lmbench) much faster than 2.1.
