A little while ago "rah" started crashing in the middle of the day after
I upgraded the system . It turns out that the problem was that
my power supply fan broke after I replaced the fan no crashes . 

Overclocking can be hazardous to your cpu chipset , I think it can
can cause electro thermal migration -- you hose your cpu. I would overclock
a cpu if I am ready to buy a new processor for sure I would not
overclock a cpu if I am in show-string budget or can't afford to
replace the system.
