With X 4.3.0 and the r200 open-source driver on -current I get 2,244
FPS.  :P

But then if we're going to talk about fps comparisons, glxgears is the
last app that should be used.  "Oh yeah?  My glxgears runs at 26.4 times
my refresh rate!"
