Starting X kills the box dead. I didn't get a crash dump so can't say more than that. Maybe a double fault? Note that I'm using the experimental 7.5 server. I thought it might be caused by dri (locking etc.) so I deleted it but the crash persisted. I did _not_ try reinstalling all my X-based ports - too much hassle. -- Gary Jennejohn
