What were you hoping that it would do?  A dollar sign is what you'd normally
expect to see after logging in to a UNIX system.

Hi: I did install the 4.4 version of Linux X86, and after spending 6 hours
trying to get thru LOGIN I get a dollar sign, and nothing else.
What do you use this thing for, it does not seem to be able to do any thing.
Please help me understand, I am lost.
