Subject: Can't get into /sys directory ???

By default, when I installed FBSD 4.0, I found a symlink called /sys.
The actual link, as I'm sure everyone knows, is /usr/src/sys. My
challenge is getting into the sys directory. Everytime I try (either
using the symlink or directly) I get the standard "directory does not
exist" error message.

According to the permissions, everyone has access to the directory, but
I can't access it. Any ideas? I'd like to reconfigure my kernel.

Mark
