>Description:
On beginning of reset or shutdown, nfs gives "media not available error" when using over a wireless wpa network. Placing home directories seems to increase likely hood of problem. If you wait a minute or so problem doesn't happen. The cause is wpa_supplicant being killed before buffers are flushed across nfs. The simple fix is to wait a minute before using the power button. Second fix is to type "sync" at the command line before using the ctlaltdel or pushing the power button. The buffers need to be flushed via the sync command before the processes are killed in the shutdown script. There should be a more practical way for this problem to be avoided.
>How-To-Repeat:
Setup wpa wireless network. Setup nfs for home directories. Run apps particularly X from home area(over nfs). Shutdown X and hit ctl-alt-del or the power button.
