OK, this is the announcement of a motherboard wit an inbuilt tuner.

Sure.  Note that MythTV has already been ported.  The tuner issue is
well known.  The question is: how do we get good tuner support?
Currently Linux has the momentum, but their kernel structure is
incompatible with ours, so we can't just use their drivers.
