I just received the September issue of the German magazine c't, which
includes a test of several word processors, including StarOffice and
Microsoft Word. StarOffice gets quite good marks, not as good as
Frame (the winner). Word is disqualified for bugs, but even without
them, doesn't get as good marks as StarOffice.

IMO, c't is one of the best computer magazines in the world. Their
criticism is always well founded. In this case, they showed Word
underlining at an angle, and entering page number 9 for all index
entries. They also showed cases where a saved document looked
different after re-opeining, and reliable ways to crash Word while
trying to do something valid.
